Full Job Description
Miami Acupuncture and Herbal Solutions is a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic seeking a practitioner who prides themselves on providing exceptional patient care. The physician will provide compassionate, patient-centered holistic care through acupuncture and related modalities. This includes acupuncture, cupping, electro-acupuncture, acupuncture injection therapy, lifestyle and dietary guidance, gua sha, massage, etc. Duties include conducting patient assessments, crafting and implementing treatment plans, providing traditional Chinese medicine services utilizing safe and aseptic technique, maintaining detailed and accurate medical records, educating patients on self-care strategies, and collaborating with other healthcare providers as needed as part of a patient’s healthcare team.

Applicants must have a current and active license to practice acupuncture through the Florida Board of Acupuncture and NCCAOM; have training in CPR techniques; possess strong communication skills; Spanish language proficiency is a strong addition.

Both experienced physicians and new graduates are welcome to apply. No prior experience required. Miami Acupuncture and Herbal Solutions is an established clinic that prioritizes a calm atmosphere where patients and practitioners can feel nourished and supported.

Miami Acupuncture and Herbal Solutions was established in September of 2020 during the pandemic to provide holistic services for patients who were left without care. From the beginning, owner Blake Estape was committed to providing an intimate, patient-centered clinic where patients were given the time and attention they weren’t receiving from conventional medicine. Great care has been made to make Miami Acupuncture and Herbal Solutions a place of comfort and recovery.

The ideal candidate:

  • Is a graduate of an approved school of Oriental Medicine and/or Traditional Chinese Medicine accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM)
  • Holds current licensure through the Florida Board of Acupuncture and NCCAOM in good standing.
  • Remains current on the requirements for Continuing Education as determined by the Florida Board of Acupuncture each year.
  • Is proficient in anatomical and physiological knowledge.
  • Maintains own malpractice insurance.

Responsibilities

  • The acupuncturist will perform all treatments and services in accordance with the State of Florida acupuncture licensing requirements.
  • The Licensed Acupuncturist will provide acupuncture to patients, public, caregivers, and staff during clinic business hours.
  • Provide diagnosis, explanation of treatment plans, explain payment options, and answer questions as needed by the patient or their representatives.
  • Duties include but are not limited to: review of medical records, health maintenance, illness, injury, and diagnosis as reported, and obtaining informed consent from patients.
  • Participate in marketing of the clinic and services which includes but is not limited to social media marketing, and informational and marketing events.
  • Provide patient-centered care with an emphasis on customer service.

Job Type and Scheduling

  • Part time, with full time option.
  • Mondays to start, with more days as patient load requires.
  • 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, as patient load dictates.
